Nov. 11 — In addition to teaching at Western State College, I also regularly teach courses at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, a wonderful independent literary non-profit in Denver (that you can read about here). After a recent class in fixed lyrical forms, I invited every member to send along one or two poems, offering to put them together in a small journal. The result is Don’t Just Sit There Vol. 1, no.1, attached here as a pdf. There are some wonderful poems here by Curt Heimbuck, Martha Kalin, Phyllis Knight, Pat Kreutzer, Mary McGivern, Roger Wehling and Pandora Wilson. Poetry is alive and well in Denver — enjoy.
